The Original Crysis Coming to Consoles Next Month

Yes, you're reading that right: Crysis is coming to consoles (Xbox 360 and PS3 via download) next month. EA is promising "new lighting and effects" as well as new Nanosuit controls in the rerelease.

What didn't they promise? A reprisal of "Can it run Crysis?" jokes.

[REVIEW] A Lot of Games, Volume 2, Part 3

Look familiar, right? You're looking at a series of six posts in the second volume where I gather together a bunch of games I haven't talked about, write mini-reviews on them, and serve them straight to your noggin. Sure, they may not get the attention they deserve, but I get my point across fairly well. This time, I start way back in September and work my way up until early March. We're looking at a solid 24 games to be reviewed here. Be sure to brush up on the Review FAQ to make sure you understand my scoring before you whirl-up a bitch-fest.

Again, again, more reviews. This time, we've got a few sequels, a collection of games and zombies. Lots and lots of zombies. Let's do this.

XBLM's Deal of the Week: Shadow Complex for $10

If you haven't played Shadow Complex yet....what the fuck is wrong with you? If you don't have a 360, that's understandable. If you do and still don't have it, just get rid of your 360 now. It's a great homage to two of the most amazing games of the 90's; Super Metroid and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

And it's only $10, down from the original $15. Do it. Now.

[WORK NOTE] FFXIII Box Art, Dante's Inferno demo dated, 360 Wireless-N Router bought

Just a few things to write about while I was at work:

Final Fantasy XIII's Box Art Revealed I find this a bit intriguing, as the Japanese box art has been officially revealed, but it's nowhere near as awesome or awe-inspiring as say, well, any other entry in the series. It's just Lightning on a white background. That's it. Let's hope the NA box art is better.

Dante's Inferno demo next month, PS3 2 weeks before 360 Much more intriguing, DI's demo is coming 12/10 on the PSN, while XBLM visitors will get it Christmas Eve, 12/24. Two weeks later. The only reason I can see why: PixelJunk Shooter is out that same day on the PSN, and Sony hopes that one positively influences downloads of the other.

Just bought the 360 Wireless-N WNA Finally got around to buying it, but haven't snapped it on yet; the little brother is getting his Burnout Paradise fix.

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition Coming State-side

It was inevitable, as Capcom has announced Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will be coming to both PS3 and 360 in a retail compilation on March 9 for $50.

The PS3 has a slight benefit over the 360, as everything is on a single disc. The 360 version has the extra content on a DVD with a voucher code.

The missions will be released separately before the Gold Edition hits. The first one, "Lost in Nightmares," will be coming February 17/18 (one hell of a birthday present, albeit a few days early for myself) with a costume pack, and the second, unnamed chapter and another costume pack will be March 3/4 for the 360/PS3, respectively.

As per my prediction, I was 3 weeks off. Okay, maybe that one sucked, but this announcement pegs it on the same day as my prediction for God of War III.

Oh, and that's the same day as Final Fantasy XIII. Good luck with that, Capcom.
